About

Quantitative finance takes place at the intersection of finance, computer science, and applied math/statistics. Since modern finance itself is still a relatively new field, many of its most important discoveries are still being tested and revised.

In the past, it was difficult for anyone outside of the traditional hedge fund world to stockpile enough data and computing power to uncover market inefficiencies consistently enough to be profitable, not to mention be able to beat the market index. Our thesis is that the revolution in technology and availability of data will open the door to many more new investment possibilities than was previously possible. This site is dedicated to the exploration and debate of those ideas.
